After Stacker leaves Raleigh to Mako, they headed for the Research Division lab to have a briefing on their plan scientifically. As Hermann explains first of his mathematical theory where he predicts that a Kaiju would arrive again after a week as the last one came out after 4 days which was Mutavore.

Stacker isn't satisfied by how much effort Hermann has put into his explanation. And Newton jumps in by saying Hermann can give nothing but predictions as he believes. As he tosses chunks of a Kaiju's organ onto a table but it drops onto the floor. Hermann then explains further as he knows that there will indeed be a double event when two Kaijus emerge from The Breach instead of just one.

And the humanity's death pace would become faster with more Kaijus emerging at once. Three, four, five and we're all dead. So Hermann figured out that the increased traffic around and in The Breach may force the portal of The Breach to stabilize just enough in time for them to toss the nuclear bomb in there with the Jaegers.

But Newton disagrees as he believes it lacks conviction as to the simple way it would be handled. It may sound simple but you'll never be sure if it works out perfectly. That they may not accomplish as nothing has ever happened whenever the Jaeger program has tried to toss objects into The Breach. We then switch to Newton where he describes that the Kaiju's categories was not what it's about. But rather the Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid of the Kaiju, or DNA for short, that makes the Kaiju similar in such a way that it results as these Kaijus being clones of themselves but it's different forms and abilities.

Newton says that the knowledge about these giant monsters emerging through The Breach is so limited that he knew the only way to know more than they've known for now, was to tap into the brain of a living Kaiju brain as it'll give Newton the full information on what these beings turned out to be. And also a way to possibly make The Breach nuking successful with this idea. But with a Kaiju brain being 20 times larger than a normal human brain, the two Marshalls strongly disagrees and warns Newton that the neural link between a human and a Kaiju would poison side effects neurologically into the human brain as the human brain is too small and cannot take the mental strain from the link. Newton still disagrees and is eager to try it out. But Stacker turned to Hermann's report instead as he believe it's a better way to find out more about these Kaijus.

Newton was thrown to the side as Hermann and the Marshalls believe it's too dangerous. Hermann gives Newton a strong suggestion to stop his obsession with being a "Kaiju Groupie". Newton says that fortune favors is the brave and Hermann reminds him quickly that they will not let him have the equipment to initiate a mind meld with the Kaiju brain. And it would kill him basically. And Newton replies as to why be a rockstar then...

The End.
