TRANSCRIPT: Changing squeegees on traditional automatic screen printing machines can be messy and cumbersome. So today, I’m going to show you how the ROQ automatic can make these daily tasks easier and less time consuming.
There are three important aspects that enable such a quick and clean change over on the roq.
1. Convertible print heads.
2. Quick release screen clamps.
3. Quick release pinned squeegees and floods.
To show you how easy it really is, I’m going to do this in real time with no cuts and keep in mind, I don't do this every day.
To change over a job, move your screen cart up to your press with the clean squeegee and flood already resting in the screen.
Lift the screen to the up position.
Release the air clamps and slide the back screen clamp backwards.
Lower the dirty screen onto the pallet
Quickly pop out the dirty squeegee and floods and set in the end of the frame
Slide dirty screen into screen rack.
Grab clean screen and place on pallet
Quickly snap in squeegee and then flood (in that order)
Clamp in screen in front clamps, bring up rear clamp to position. Lower the print head to the print position for screen registration.
As you can see, in under 1 minute I did a complete change over of a screen, squeegee, and a flood. It was simple and I only got a little ink on my hand which can be easily wiped off.
This is just one of the many efficient and quality pickups you get from the ROQ automatic press. For more information on ROQ equipment visit our site screen printing.com and subscribe to our youtube channel for more ROQing videos.
