American Bulldog CCL injury conservative treatment with Photonic red light and knee braces

My dog, Kevin injured his CCL (similar to the ACL in humans) and we decided to go the non invasive route. Our veterinarian said that it wasn’t a complete rupture and sent us home with anti inflammatories (which Kevin was allergic to 🤦🏽‍♀️) and orders for at least 30 days of bed rest and leash potty walks only.

After that month we saw no improvement so I started looking for alternatives.
I found Wound Wear dog knee braces and Photonic Health Red light therapy. Both seemed to be just what he needed but due to finances, we couldn’t purchase both at the same time so we went with Wound Wear and ordered the braces. Within a week Kevin’s mobility increased and limping decreased by half. A total win.

But as time wore on he hit a plateau in his healing. He was so much better than he had been but would still come up sore if we didn’t watch him like a hawk. So I decided to bite the bullet and order the Photonic Health light as well.

This video basically documents our very first treatment so it’s kinda all over the place. I had planned on doing weekly video updates on Kevin’s progress but life got in the way and I didn’t. Every treatment went as easily and as fruitfully as this first one went though and I’ll be posting an update video soon.

Kevin is doing fantastic now! He runs and plays, goes for hikes and climbs stairs like a boss.
