Another great trip in The YotaHome! The Long Beach Peninsula is normally about a three hour drive from where we live in Vancouver, Washington...but YotaHome helps us to take life a little bit slower. There is the coastal mountain range to climb and even though she’s packing the heat with a V6 instead of the 4-banger, we aren’t moving very fast. Plus we get the best gas mileage at a blazing 55 mph. If she was actually meant to go fast she wouldn’t be shaped like a freaking brick, would she? 😂
Hey, I’ll take 20mpg all day over getting there faster...after all, life and motorhoming is more about the journey anyway 😁

If you’ve never been to Long Beach, Washington, be sure to add it to your list. It’s the cutest little town with lots of shops and activities, and the surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful.

You’ll find it about a 30 min cruise north of Astoria, Oregon. The sea grass and beach are easy to access, and you can drive on the beach if you like.

During a normal year, Long Beach is the location of several large gathering and festivals such as The Kite Festival in August and The Rod Run to the End of the World car show (the show is in Ocean Park, WA. just a few miles north, but the events, live music and block party happen in Long Beach) in September.

It’s even a great place to visit in winter because...there is no such thing as a bad day at the beach.
