3018-Prover 500 Watt Spindle Upgrade with GRBL control

This shows a method of adding a 500 watt spindle motor while maintaining software control of power and speed. Use the power supply specified. Do not substitute with another type! Be sure to refer to the circuit diagram link below to ensure proper connection to the mains. The drawings include a GND connection. The GND terminal is connected to the case. Note also the addition of the RC filter to smooth the PWM output. Thanks for watching. Important: Do not confuse this power supply with the cheap 100v power supply that comes with a 500w spindle motor! Those power supplies are not isolated from the mains and are very dangerous! They will not work with this control method.
