Our Vision is to hold a 'FULL' Australian Watercolour Muster every 2nd year - so 2023 will become our Australian Watercolour Muster Biennale and we will have a full 'Call For Artists' to be selected for Exhibition and opportunities for Workshops | Demonstrations and general experimental paint outs in 'Wild Places' 🌞 Next AUSTRALIAN WATERCOLOUR MUSTER 'BIENNALE' is booked to hold our OPENING NIGHT - in the Old Court House Gallery Cairns - North Queensland - Australia @ 6pm - 8th September 2023 ................please put this in your diary and watch our website www.australianwatercolourmuster.com for news and details! As a result of this decision for the 'Interim Year' we are going to hold our | MINI-AUSTRALIAN WATERCOLOUR MUSTERS | we decided it would be fun to meet our Aussie Watercolour Muster Artists on the ground, in a regional area like we have chosen this year i.e. The Southern Grampians, in their studios to capture them in their own surroundings to share with you! So as a sample here are 2 of the 3 visits we held over the Long Weekend 11 to 13th - June 2022 - just gone: * Ros McArthur Studio - Though Ros is not a watercolorist we wanted to share some insights into Artists using different mediums. Ros works with oils across a range of subjects ........ letting her imagination drift across 'surreal stories' to landscapes and portraiture. Just stunning Work and a join to share you are welcome to visit her - check her website for open days etc - https://www.grampiansart.com.au * Dunkeld Garage Gallery - Marg Wentworth - although this is not a Studio the stunningly curated range of Work that Marg has managed to collect into this newly renovated, original old Garage in the Main Street of Dunkeld is just intriguing and stunning - so worth a weekend drive up from Melbourne or if your passing through to Adelaide a must stop spot - https://dunkeldgallery.com.au Huge thanks to Marg and Ros for sparing the time in their busy days - a real showcase of what is possible in a small creative region like the Southern Grampians!
