This is a topic of Chapter 10- 'Gravitation' for class 9th from NCERT. ***Mass*** Mass is the measure of inertia of a body. Mass doesn't depend upon where the body is placed. It is same everywhere. ***Weight*** Weight is the force on that body due to gravity. Weight of a body varies place to place, because acceleration due to gravity differs in different places.
