Preparation and Characterization of a Flexible rGO-PTFE Film for a Supercapacitor Current Collector

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342736948_Preparation_and_Characterization_of_a_Flexible_rGO-PTFE_Film_for_a_Supercapacitor_Current_Collector The leading scientific journal Langmuir has published a new article "Preparation and Characterization of a Flexible rGO-PTFE Film for a Supercapacitor Current Collector". Authors Yury Shulga, Sergei Baskakov and Evgeny Kabachkov have developed and presented revolutionary graphene oxide materials with outstanding properties. A mixture of water suspensions of graphene oxide and polytetrafluoroethylene was used to make the films GO-PTFE (50:50). They became conductive (2-3 Siemens on cm) while maintaining flexibility after reduction with hydrazine and subsequent annealing at 370 °C. The structure and morphology of the reduced films (rGO-PTFE) are examined in detail by means of a number of techniques such as SEM, AFM, XPS, Raman, and contact angle wetting. The results of the films testing as current collectors in metal-free supercapacitor with electrodes from microwave exfoliated graphene oxide and an sulfur acid electrolyte are presented.
