Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 PID loop controller setup -- part 1 (ranging and PID action)

Instructions for basic configuration of our MicroLogix 1100 PID loop controllers, stressing the on-line nature of the parameter changes (no downloads to the PLC necessary!). Writing the program in such a way that all the critical parameters are editable online avoids the hassle of having to make program alterations and then download. One of the benefits of doing it this way is that it makes it less likely that someone might download the wrong program to the controller and thereby mess up its network IP address settings.
