Getting Started After Getting Started

Your hand built server running on Digital Ocean has worked well for awhile but it's finally time to "modernize". You've read through the getting started guides for Terraform, Packer, Consul, and Ansible, but you're not really sure how to connect them all together. You know you want to end up with a stable, automated, horizontally scalable infrastructure, but you need a bit more help to get there. This talk will go over exactly that. It's the getting started guide that I wish existed when my team undertook this adventure. I'll talk about the problems we ran up against, how we solved them, the tools we did (and didn't) use, and how we got everything to work together. --------------- Casey Lang is the Director of Developer Operations at Daily Burn.
