This will be an electric vehicle platform, launching six models within two years of the first production. The first model will be a sedan, and the second a compact SUV. Production of the first Neue Klasse electric vehicle will start in Hungary in 2025, followed by Munich and China in 2026, and Mexico in 2027 after an $855 million expansion. Each Neue Klasse vehicle will use BMW's Gen 6 battery technology, promising a 30 percent increase in range, 50 percent reduction in production costs, and a 60 percent decrease in carbon emissions. The battery capacities will range from 75 to 150 kWh, and horsepower will span from 268 to 1,341.
