SESSION OUTLINE: Joseph Yeates will start off the evening by showing us some of the latest updates and new features in Power BI. Next, Matt Allington will be presenting on how to think about DAX functions differently. DAX is a tricky language to learn, particularly for people that do not have a formal database background. Matt has been teaching people DAX for more than 7 years, and over that time he has refined the best ways to explain the difficult concepts of DAX. In this session, Matt will talk about functions including ALL(), FILTER() and SUMX() and explain how to think about these functions in a different way than you probably have done so far. At the end of the session you will be able to use this approach to solve common DAX problems and continue to build you DAX skill.
