You can check it on the terminal window by merely entering node -v and npm -v. You can also download latest nodeJS from https://nodejs.org/en/download/ Note: Make sure you have npm version 6.x if you don't then update your NPM first. Second: Make sure you have installed latest angular-cli at least 1.5.X. You can check the ionic version in the terminal with ng -v command if you need more info on how to setup angular4 project, please follow angular official website at https://angular.io/ Third: Make sure have to install Python to check that just open your windows command prompt and type python. If it will not showing python version and give this command not recognized that means you don't have install python or you did not setup your system environment variables so you can setup. You can check-in the video on how to set up an environment variable in Windows System. To download python check at https://www.python.org/downloads/ for Windows https://www.python.org/downloads/windows/ Now Cross check for your required installation: NodeJs: node -v NPM: npm -v Python: python Now just open your Visual Studio Code Editor and open our project file. Once you open in the visual editor then type ctr+` to open your terminal. Once it will open then first install Nodejs dependencies. To do that just type in the terminal $ npm install Then start your server to run the application on your browser to do that just type $ gulp serve Once your server started then just hit http://localhost:8000 and you will see your application running on localhost on your browser. Common Error Occur with this project implementation in Windows is "node-gyp" to avoid this error you should have use Visual Studio Editor. For Installation: You can install with npm: $ npm install -g node-gyp For Windows visit at https://github.com/nodejs/node-gyp#on-windows For more details and for the different platform you should check NodeJs GitHub at https://github.com/nodejs/node-gyp To build this project you have to build your project with this command: gulp serve:dist Once you enter this command it will create a distributable directory in Angular it is also called dist directory that you can use to deploy on a live project or servers like Heroku or AWS or whatever do you have.
