Design Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) with KiCAD - Demo Night

Gainesville Hackerspace members Joe and Eddie give a talk about KiCAD, an open source PCB design tool. They run through the typical design pipeline, showing some of the different tools available, and Joe compares a hand wired board to a board made by an American company, to a board made and shipped from China. A very interesting talk, and a great alternative to other PCB design tools such as Eagle or Designspark Electrical. ------------------------------------------ The Gainesville Hackerspace is located in Gainvesille, Florida, and provides a physical space where hackers, makers, engineers, scientists, artists, and other creative types can gather to share ideas, equipment, opinions, and even food. Members are likely to show up to work on personal projects, consult with other members, and learn new things. More than just a project workspace, we aim to share all types of knowledge in a friendly and collaborative environment. We have open house every Tuesday at 7pm, and the 3rd Tuesday a month is Demo night. Feel free to bring a project you are working on, or just come and say hi!
