We are solving following problems in this video lesson - 1. In what ratio must water be mixed with milk costing Rs 12 per liter to obtain a mixture worth of Rs 8 per Kg? 2. The average salary of all the workers in a workshop is Rs 8000. The average salary of 7 technicians is Rs 12000 and the average salary of the rest is Rs 6000. The total number of workers in the workshop is? 3. The mean monthly salary paid to graduating MBA class of a management school is Rs 16000. The mean monthly salary paid to students with work experience is Rs 18000. The corresponding figure for the students without any work experience is Rs 12000. Determine the percentage of students with work experience and those without any work experience in the class 4. A merchant has 1000 kg of Sugar, part of which he sells at 8 % profit and the rest at 18% profit. He gains 14% on the whole. The quantity sold at 18% profit is? 5. A sum of Rs 1550 was lent partly at 5% and partly at 8% per annum simple interest. The total interest received after 3 years was Rs 300. The ratio of money lent at 5% to that lent at 8% is? 6. A jar full of whisky contains 40% alcohol. A part of this whisky is replaced by another containing 19% alcohol and now the percentage of alcohol was found to be 26%. The quantity of whisky replaced is? 7. One quality of wheat at Rs 9.30 per kg is mixed with another quality at a certain rate in the ratio 8:7. If the mixture so formed be worth Rs 10 per kg, what is the rate per kg of the second quality of wheat?
