Conversion of Galvanometer into Ammeter

The objective of this experiment is to Study the Conversion of Galvanometer into Ammeter and determine the resistance of a galvanometer by half deflection method and to find its figure of merit using this trainer kit. A galvanometer can detect only small currents. Thus, to measure large currents it is converted into an ammeter. It can be converted into an ammeter by connecting a low resistance called shunt resistance in parallel to the galvanometer.
