The current third gen model was launched in 2020, and It looks like Hyundai is now working on a facelifted version of the same. For the first time, the i20 facelift has been spotted testing in it's home country south Korea. The overall rear profile looks to be identical to the outgoing model, but a closer look hints some changes to the tailgate's width, and revised tail lamps housing. The bumper also seems to have underwent changes, with large faux skid plate. The front-end is expected to get more changes than rest of the car. Expected to receive a revised grille and front bumper coping with latest design language of the Korean car maker. The cabin might remain same in terms of design and layout, but one can expect new colour theme and upholstery. The i20 is already a very well packed car in terms of features, but Hyundai might even surprise us by giving the unexpected feature addition to this upcoming update. Currently Hyundai is offering two petrol and one diesel engine option with i20. But sadly, Hyundai will be killing the 1.5 litre diesel engine with the 2023 model, owing to stricter emission norms. So, the 2023 i20 will only be offered with, a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.0 litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine option. will be available with manual, DCT, and iMT gearbox options, depending up on the engine options.
