How to make a Plant-Based "Iron Smoothie"

This is a recipe for an "Iron Smoothie" i.e a smoothie that is very high in iron. Since January 2012, I have adopted a vegan diet. I knew this would be a challenge because I am also a competitive cyclist. I wanted to stay competitive, gain fitness yet not be affected by any deficiencies that are associated with a vegan diet. I believe that I am acutely aware of my body and what it's telling me. So, I noticed that I was slightly tired and fatigued throughout the day AND my training rides didn't seem very productive. I did some research and reflected on my diet and the amount of iron I was intaking. More research into iron rich foods lead to this "Iron Smoothie". Is it just a coincidence that 2 days after I start ingesting this smoothie I have a break-through 72-mile workout? Not sure. But the smoothie tastes good, it's cheap and easy to make and I will continue to eat it. Feel free to ask questions below. Note: I am not a dietician or nutritionist, i.e an expert.
