Iris Ben Moshe reviews “La Mami” (2019) by Laura Herrero Garvín

Iris Ben Moshe, is a graduate of Tel Aviv University's Cinema Department (Production Course, B.F.A) and has a Master's Degree in Gender and Women Studies from Tel Aviv University. Her first documentary film The Sign for Love was screened at the Docaviv film Festival 2017 and won the Audience Award. In the past year, she has produced and edited three short films funded by the Gesher Film Fund, NFCT and Makor Film Fund. Nowadays she deals with directing, editing and producing two documentary films. In addition, she has served as a sign language interpreter for ten years and is currently lecturing and managing the Sign Language Interpreter Training Program at Bar Ilan University. -- The documentary “La Mami” (2019), directed by Laura Herrero Garvín, received awards at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (#FICM) and MAFIZ Málaga Festival Industry Zone, and selected as part of the II Foro CORTE FINAL of DocumentaMadrid.
