BMW C1 scooter - loose wheel bearings fix

For you motorcycle mechanics out there, hear is a little fix I thought up instead of buying a new wheel at BMW prices (£400). My price £2 These bikes are getting old and many wheels could be getting a little loose around where the wheel bearing sits. It actually falls out on my bike when I turn the wheel upside down. This is a quick and easy fix using a feeler gauge. Use the .0015 shim or one that just takes up the worn space. Also when changing bearings soak them over night in my favorite cocktail (See photos: yep that stuff again I swear by it) to increase life of the bearings by 10 fold..hehe!
