Ultimate Thanksgiving Dessert Table! - Dalya Rubin - It's Raining Flour Episode 20

I have been working on this video for weeks, and am so excited that it is finally up! #PrayForParis Thanksgiving Dessert Table Video Link to Pumpkin Cake: https://youtu.be/i4AGHLV-Pfo Link to Mini Pumpkin Pecan Pies (Gluten Free): https://youtu.be/7f3vSbVHiLs Link to Non-Dairy Caramel Sauce: https://youtu.be/xcb5rtEfnCA Sweet Treat #1: Sugared Pecans (makes about 1 1/2 cups) 1 egg white 1 teaspoon water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 lb pecan halves 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tbsp cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside. Place sugar, cinnamon and salt in a 1 gallon plastic bag, zip the bag, and shake it. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg white, water and vanilla. Add the pecans to egg white mixture and mix to coat. Pour the pecan-sugar mixture into ziplock, zip it up, and shake the ziplock to coat the pecans. Pour the pecans onto the cookie sheet and spread out. Bake for 1 hour, mixing it every 20 minutes to evenly cook the pecans. Store in a ziplock or airtight container on the counter for 3 weeks. Sweet Treat #2: Pumpkin Cream Parfaits Pumpkin Cake recipe here https://youtu.be/i4AGHLV-Pfo Cream filling recipe here https://youtu.be/tnNGbe7W_dw Layer pumpkin cake and cream filling in glasses. Store in the refrigerator. Remove the parfaits at least 1 hour before serving to come to room temperature so the cream isn't too stiff. Sweet Treat #3: Apple Nachos 2 large Granny Smith 2 Mackintosh apples 1 lemon 1/2 cup caramel (I use my non dairy caramel, but you can also use store bought) 1/2 cup white candy melts or nondairy white chocolate 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips 1/3 cup heath bits (dairy), non dairy toffee bits, or other dairy/nondairy candy bar of your choice Cut apples into slices and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent apples from browning. Place apples in desired plate/dish and arrange them nicely. Drizzle melted caramel and melted white chocolate. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and candy bar bits. Preferable, place the plate into the fridge right away. Cover and store in refrigerator for 2 days. DIY Craft #1: Mason Jar Candle Holders What You’ll Need: Mason Jar Leaves (real or not real) Hot Glue Modge Podge Paint Brush Raffia Candle Instructions: Glue down each leaf with hot glue. Then, paint the modge podge all over and around the leaves. Let the jar dry overnight. Tie rafia around the top of the jar. Place the candle inside and light it when your ready to begin your meal. DIY Craft #2: Thanksgiving Thankful Tree What You’ll Need: Tall, skinny Vase branches (I bought fake branches at Michaels, but you can totally try real ones) Pine cones (I bought sparkly one), other festive objects Tags with string attached (sold at Craft store) Sharpie/marker Place cones and festive objects into half the vase. Then add in the branches and position as you want. The finish filling the vase with the pinecones and objects. Place a stack of tags on the counter right next to the tree centerpiece with the marker so each guest can write something they are thankful for and put it on the tree. DIY Dessert Table: I used an orange runner from the craft store I got a piece of wood to display the mini pecan pumpkin pies on. I placed each pie in a “caramel apple holder” from Michael’s Craft Store so that the oil from the pies wouldn't ruin the wood since there was no finish. I bought a super cheap, $3 black board from Target to write “Happy Thanksgiving”. I made the Apple Nachos on a charger plate as a platter (the charger cost around $3.25) I used a garland of leaves and “berries” for the background. I hope you enjoyed this video, and let me know if you make any desserts from it! Ttyl, Dalya
