Prague Wenceslas Square National Museum Praha Václavské náměstí Národní muzeum Approximate coordinates (gps): 50.07933 14.43027 The National Museum is the most important Czech museum institution. Most often this term is used for its historic (main) building on Wenceslas Square 68, Prague 1 - New Town, which is since 1891 an important feature of the upper part of Wenceslas Square. The building was in July 2011 due to a general reconstruction of 7 years closed. Opening is planned for the 200th anniversary of the National Museum of the Year 2018. Three-tiered fountain from the late 19th century is carefully inspected every year by experts of the National Museum. Fountain under five allegorical statues (Bohemia, Elbe, Vltava, Moravia and Silesia) made of a sandstone is due to regularly free of dirt and other debris. Čelakovského sets are located in the National Museum in Prague, between the streets of Vinohradská, Škrétova and Mezibranská. The park is relatively small, has an area of 1.3 hectares and is situated on a slightly sloping surface.
