Pur ti miro (Monteverdi with added phasers and distortions)

This duet is from Monteverdi's Opera L'incoronazione di Poppea. I was feeling a bit experimental and played around with phasers and echos on this haunting piece. In the story, this duet is sung between Nero and Poppea. Although the opera ends with those characters being able to express their love for one another, the true story of Nero and Poppea in history gets rather dark afterwards. The harmonies in this piece inspired me to create the visual that accompanies it.
