Exploring Innovation – Part #2: Getting the Bigger Picture at HSBC with Dr. David Knott

Welcome to a new video in the #InnovationExploration Special Series by Curated (ex Global Tech Box) – PART #2! Last month, at the Huawei European Innovation Day in London, we had the opportunity to meet with Dr. David Knott, Chief Architect @ HSBC. Dr. David is responsible for the technological decisions at HSBC and he describes his job as a privilege and challenge, at the same time. HSBC is one of the world's largest international banks, with about 4.000 offices in established and emerging markets. Currently, it operates in 70 countries worldwide and serves 60 million customers each day! Even though there isn't a universal and widespread definition of the term “innovation”, this time we tried to comprehend the meaning of it and to differentiate between the real and so-called-innovation.
