2013 July 27 View of nearby buildings from inside the Kazan kremlin

A view of some new buildings from inside the Kazan kremlin. These looked quite interesting form a distance but close up appeared to be classic examples of provincial gigantism, combining quality, expensive materials with buildings a bit too ornate and decorated with tacky add-ons. With a bit of restraint the buildings would have been wonderful.
