Third Time's the Charm!

This is a nice geometry question from 1987 American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). The question is a right angled triangle with a point P inside, and 3 line segments passing through this point all make a 120 degree angle. Two of the lengths of these line segments are 6 and 10 units. We are looking for the length of the 3rd line segment. Solution of the problem requires the use of; - Law of cosines (cosine theorem), - Pythagorean Theorem, - Algebra.
