Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG
Initially launched in 1979, the G-Wagon is now going electric with the introduction of the EQG. The concept follows a similar design aesthetic but features an illuminated front grille, logo, and a light bar on the roof. The rear gets an illuminated storage box, in place of the tailgate-mounted wheel. International launch is expected in the second half of this year and India launch is confirmed for next year.

Skoda Enyaq iV
The Enyaq iV is Skoda's first all-electric SUV and is based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform. After being spotted testing multiple times in India, it has been finally confirmed that the Enyaq iV will be coming to India but there is no word yet on when. As for the design, It has a wagon-like appearance with familiar Skoda-like design elements. The interior boasts a 13-inch touchscreen, head-up display, and sustainable materials. The Enyaq iV lineup includes models with different power outputs, ranging from 146bhp to 302bhp, and claimed WLTP cycle ranges from 340km to 510km.

Tata Curvv
The highlight of the entire show has to be the Tata Curvv. Seen several times at previous expos, the Curvv showcased this time was in its production version. Expected to launch around the festive season this year, the production version carries a similar styling to the concept version. The front end looks a lot like the newer models from Tata Motors with elements like the full-width LED bar and the headlights. On the side, flush door handles and 18-inch wheels can be seen. Moving further back, the coupe-SUV type roof is still there and stands as the distinctive feature of the Curvv. The platform is said to be similar to that of the Nexon but the Curvv comes with a longer wheelbase.

Tata Harrier.ev
Tata Motors also brought the upcoming Harrier.ev to the expo in its near-production form. The only known detail about the EV is that it would come with an AWD system hinting at increased off-roading capabilities compared to the regular ICE Harrier which only comes as an FWD. Styling-wise it is very similar to that of the ICE Harrier, albeit with a few changes owing to it being an EV.

Tata Altroz Racer
The Altroz’s sporty iteration was also present at the expo. Dubbed the Altroz Racer, there are cosmetic enhancements including a two-tone paint job with a blacked-out hood and racing stripes. New in this concept version were the black 16-inch Fuel branded rims. As for the powertrain, it was running the 1.2-litre turbo petrol pushing out 119bhp and 170Nm of torque. It is expected to come with a stiffer suspension and options for either a DCT or a manual gearbox option.

Tata Nexon iCNG
After the petrol, diesel and electric Nexons, we now have a CNG Nexon. It sports the same twin-tank design as we saw on the Altroz iCNG. The spare wheel has been moved underneath the car. Tata Motors also revealed that the launch is going to happen very soon.

Mahindra BE Rall-E
Present at the expo was the offroad concept BE Rall-E based on Mahindra’s BE platform. From the looks, it hints towards what an electric off-road-ready vehicle could look like. No further information was revealed but from previous interactions we know that it might come with a dual-motor setup, it aims for 250-290kW power and 0-100kmph in 5-6 seconds. The platform supports 60-80kWh batteries with 175kW fast charging.

Maruti Suzuki eVX
The Maruti Suzuki pavilion at the expo had the eVX on display. Unveiled a while back, the eVX is Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car and is being developed jointly with Toyota. A similar model from Toyota is also expected. Although it is still in its concept form, the production has been confirmed to happen sometime in the near future. According to Maruti, it would come with a 60kWh battery and a claimed range of 550km.

Hyundai Nexo
An interesting vehicle present at the expo was the Hyundai Nexo. The Nexo is a Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) and has a claimed WLTP range of 666km. The government has been pushing greener fuels a lot including Hydrogen and Ethanol. The Nexo is a good example of what mobility in India could look like in the future.
