Based on the Fuzz Face and Tonebender Circuits ''This pedal is the result of many hours of breadboarding, capacitor changing and transistor testing. The Red Menace is a wonderfully diverse pedal with many tones contained within it. At its heart it is based on some ideas from many of the classic 60s fuzz circuits, combining them to create something new. The controls are as follows: Volume - Lots on tap to smash the front of you amp Fuzz - Very responsive to the other settings Voice - Pans between treble and bass Bias - Controls the bias of one transistor to go from undervolt splutter to stupid square wave Now where this pedal comes into its own is the second footswitch. Engaging this while the other footswitch is on slams the front of the pedal with an extra gain staige giving more volume and masses of sustain. Perfect for a solo boost or heavy riffing. All these pedals are screen printed and use high quality components to ensure longevity. Made one at a time in Newcastle England.
