What is Dead Island? Dead Island is an action survival horror game where you are placed in a zombie-infested island called Banoi where you have to try to survive by killing zombies, primarily using melee combat (to ensure that others do not hear). The game begins with the player awakening to an emergency alarm where they have to evacuate where they discover that most of the island's inhabitants are infected with a disease that changes them to hostile, flesh-eating creatures.
