Study Speech & Language Pathology

Alaa is a BSc Speech and Language Pathology student who formerly studied the Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Business and Social Sciences. She talks about how her Foundation Programme aided her in further study. Gaining access to the healthcare industry by taking a placement in a Hospital was a very useful aspect of the course. Inspired by her course and the experiences during her placement, she hopes to return home and spend time working with patients who have lost the ability to swallow. She feels this is where the demand is right now. Once established, Alaa has the ambition to open her own speech therapy practice in her native Oman.
