Does Aspergillus antibody (IgG) testing work for patients with immunodeficiencies?

Antibody (IgG) tests are used in diagnosing in diagnosing chronic forms of aspergillosis because they can measure how strongly the immune system is reacting to the presence of the Aspergillus fungus. But what about patients who have trouble producing antibodies, either because they are immunosuppressed or have some kind of subtle genetic immunodeficiency? Beth describes a piece of research published by staff at the National Aspergillosis Centre / Mycology Reference Centre Manchester that was published in Respiratory Medicine. Then NAC staff and patients discuss the pros and cons of genetic testing to detect these subtle immunodeficiencies.
