Test details:
The Honda Ridgeline was introduced in the 2006 model year. The vehicle has been offered in only one configuration since that time, a 4-wheel-drive crew cab.
Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. Both side curtain airbags and the driver side torso airbag deployed during the crash. After the dummy moved forward into the frontal airbag, it rebounded into the seat with its head grazing the side curtain airbag and protected from any stiff structure that could cause injury.
Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible.
