This is an interview of Monica, a 4th year student from IGDTUW, who was placed in Inuit. In this video, she talks about the various steps involved in the Intuit selection process, and shares some of her Job Interview Software developer profile ABOUT THE COMPANY Intuit Inc. is an American software company that develops financial and tax preparation software and related services for small businesses, accountants and individuals. It is incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in Mountain View, California. Monica was selected for the post of a software developer and was offered a pay of 19.83 lpa. INTUIT SELECTION PROCESS for Software developer profile consisted of 4 rounds. The first round of the Intuit Job Interview Software developer profile was an online round hosted on the HackerEarth platform, which consisted of 20 questions of 1 mark each, and 3 coding questions which were of 100 marks each. for Software developer The MCQ questions included both technical and logical questions, and the coding questions were of average difficulty level. 2nd round- 13 students were shortlisted for profile of Software developer the second round of the Intuit Job Interview for Software developer profile which was a technical job interview. The job interview started with basic questions on the candidate’s resume and projects, and gradually moved on to concepts like data structures and algorithms. She was also asked to draw the diagrams of basic systems such as the mobile phone and coffee machine. The 3rd round was also a job interview, for Software developer profile which mostly focused on the candidate’s projects. Since she had a project on android, and the interviewer was also an android developer, many questions were based on android. The 4th round was a HR-cum-technical round. Detailed and conceptual questions related to data structures and operating systems were asked. She was also asked to design a C-Compiler to test her knowledge of several basic C concepts. Usually, a Design session is also a part of the Intuit selection process, but it was not conducted in this instance because of shortage of time. JOB INTERVIEW TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS 1) Be clear with your basics. 2) Follow standard books and try to understand the concepts clearly. 3) If one wants to be a developer, their coding skills must be good, so one should practice well. 4) Start early and start with simple questions. ‘Hackerrank’ is a good platform for beginners, and one can then move to sites like HackerEarth. 5) Give online tests for aptitude and logical questions, and also for other subjects which will help in increasing speed for MCQ’s. 6) While preparing your resume, write what you know, and have complete knowledge of what you write.*- 7) Know your projects thoroughly.
