Kuznetz & Stoker - Intl Mission to Mars Design Course & Competition (2022) - The Mars Society

Speakers: Dr. Lawrence Kuznetz, a former Apollo mission controller who is also an expert on lunar & Mars surface EVA suits. Dr. Carol Stoker, a NASA Ames scientist who discussed concepts and approaches for searching for Life on Mars, as well as past attempts. The "International Mission to Mars" Design Course & Competition is being held in the summer of 2022 and is modeled on the approach taken by the best technical design courses at university-level engineering departments. With this program, we hope to make educational history by demonstrating the value of a new and much more creative way to teach science at the secondary school level than is currently being practiced. The results of the competition will be published in book form by the Mars Society.
