DirectX11 game engine experimentation

While at university studying computer games technology, I was tasked with broadening my knowledge of game development by creating a game engine from scratch using directx11 and c++ in Visual Studio 2010. My experience up until this point consisted of working with already established game engines such as the Irrlicht engine, Unreal engine or Unity 3D. The engine currently includes 3D rendering, quad tree terrain rendering, ambient and specular lighting, a font engine allowing for 2D text rendering and engine feedback and height based movement. The source code also contains audio integration via the FMOD sound engine, however remains a little buggy and has been disabled for this video.
