Multiplicative group of complex numbers example

In this video, we review: - the definition of complex number, and multiplication of complex numbers. -assuming that non-zero complex numbers form a group, we discover which element is the identity. -assuming that non-zero complex numbers have an inverse, we find a formula for that inverse. These latter two facts do not prove that something is a group... but they tell you why we know which element is the identity, and what the formula for the inverse is, and where that formula comes from.
