Full game longplay of Penumbra: Overture, first game in the series, and first real premiere from dev Frictional Games. Released in early 2007 for the PC and Linux. Here played in 3840x2160, all highest possible settings, with the low quality/blurry Depth of Field turned off, and Motion Blur disabled for better visual fluidity during quick movements. 4X AI Enhanced Textures pack installed. Hard Difficulty, highest possible. It sure is hard and a bit unfair. Game has big issues with the hitboxes, both ours and the enemies' alike. So, you get two hits, you get deader than Elvis. Enemies? Well, those can take a boatload of damage by a pickaxe or a hammer. It took me a lot less time to finish it this time around, about 45 minutes less. And this time ain't one gonna tell me I've been having a brainfreeze/fart during gameplay. After receiving a mysterious letter from his supposedly dead father, Philip follows a series of clues that lead him to a mysterious location in uninhabited northern Greenland. The harsh cold forces him to take shelter in an abandoned mine, the entrance of which collapses as he enters it, and he is forced to move deeper inside.
