Had I done that, I would have been asked why I didn't do a 15 FPS buffer test with NX1. I always test cameras at their highest performance. Many have speculated that because it wasn't 10fps, it was not fair, but if you watch the original test all the information is there. The JPEG test on the NX-1 was Fine, 7Dii was Super Fine , 12 bit vs 14 bit, etc. To put this issue to bed, I have done a 10fps test, and here are the numbers, RAW+JPEG 24, Super Fine JPEG 95, Fine JPEG 202. 7Dii still wins here with JPEGs (it can do up to 1000). 7Dii's buffer performance is still better at 10 fps when it comes to JPEG only. We have even more tests we did, but had to cut it down for time: - For usability, the NX-1 touch monitor was better than the 7Dii's monitor, but the menus were lacking some things (like audio gain controls) which I do not mention as a new firmware will address them. Im leaning towards wanting touch monitors on everything now. - I like what Samsung is doing feature wise, there are some indications the NX-1 is capable of up to 240 fps at 1080 (in their testing but not released). The autofocus refreshes at 240fps for video tracking, but does not record at that rate. Once the h265 issue is resolved, some of the color balance and exposure shifting, the NX1 is going to be a home run winner. - On the Rack Focus issue. Once a mirrorless camera company resolves this, the writing is on the wall for the end of DSLRs.
