This chocolate cake recipe has been my family’s and friends' favorite. I made this it extra rich and moist chocolate cake for My friend's naughtie and cutie son's Birthday🎂 ❤️ He loves Grave Digger monster truck a lot so his mom planned to have Grave digger theme cake❤️! i frosted this cake with a chocolate frosting and vanilla heavy whipping cream frosting. INGREDIENTS: Sugar - 1.5 cup Flour- 1 3/4 cups Cocoa- 3/4 cup Baking Soda- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder - 1 1/2 tsp Salt- 1 tsp Eggs- 2 Milk 1 cup Oil- 1/2 cup Vanilla Extract- 1 tbsp Boiling Water 1 cup For icing: Butter 1 cup Cocoa 1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar 2 cups Milk 2/3 cup Vanilla Extract 1 tsp Method Preheat oven to 360F / 180C. Grase and flour two 9-in baking pans. Set aside. Take a large bowl, first add in the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt) and mix well. Then add eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract and beat it. Then add boiling water and beat well.The batter will be very runny. Pour batter evenly between the two pans and bake on middle rack of oven for about 30-35 minutes, until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean with just a few moist crumbs attached. Let it cool about 10 minutes before removing from pans. Than cool completely. In the meantime, prepare a chocolate buttercream frosting. Place your first layer onto your cake board. I’m working on a turntable to make this whole process easier. Apply a thin layer of chocolate buttercream frosting. Keep your spatula nice and flat so your buttercream has an even thickness. I’m starting with the purple because that makes sense to me in my brain. Continue frosting and stacking this way with the rest of the layers and then give the whole cake a nice crumb coat to seal in all those rainbow crumbs. Chill your cake for 15 minutes to firm up that layer of buttercream. Finish your cake with a final layer of chocolate buttercream frosting and smooth it out with your bench scraper and offset spatula. After chilling my cake, I added some fancy sprinkles to the bottom and top borders of the cake. Do the same steps for the small cake and then place the cake over the top of the big cake. Then I added some little swirls of white frosting on top and added some more sprinkles. And we’re done with our rainbow cake! Doesn’t it look so pretty!
