However, growing it from seeds is a different story as Kinchay or Chinese Celery seed germination needs a lot of technique and patience. In this video, I will show you my proven style of growing Kinchay in the Philippines, in a container gardening and urban gardening set up. This video will also show in full how to plant, transplant and grow Kinchay, and I asli included the fertilizers I’ve been using to achieve results and lastly the pest or insect issues I have experienced growing this amazing herbs. As I promised in my video, below is the recipe of my Organic Insecticide with the instructions on how to use it safely: ORGANIC INSECTICIDE: 1 liter of water 10 drops of dishwashing soap 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda 1 teaspoon of Neem Oil (any kind of oil) 3 pcs of Siling Labuyo (crushed) Mix them together and wait for 24 hours before using. To avoil “burning” the leaves, spray it late inntge afternoon. In case you over spray, you can spray or wash it of with plain water in the morning. As added precaution, use 50/50 ration in your first try. 50 % water - 50% solution in your spray bottle. You can adjust as needed. Use at least twice a week or as needed.
