Treasury signs 1.8 billion shillings grant with trademark East Africa for road expansion in Mombasa
The treasury has signed a 1.8 billion shillings grant with trademark East Africa for the expansion of access roads in Mombasa. The port Reitz and Moi international airport access roads will be expanded into dual carriage ways to ease movement in the coastal city. The Kenya national highways authority will inject a further 900 million shillings into the project to fund design and construction of the roads. The two roads which cover 6.4 kilometers are some of the most congested roads in Mombasa that have caused massive delays in the recent past.
