Coming from a family in Tuticorin that did not have much background in music, his keen interest brought him to Chennai where he met with the legendary music director Sri M S Viswanathan. For the next 20 years, Sri Anantha Narayanan worked with him as his assistant composer and also went on to sing a few of his compositions. As part of this week's Sri Sathya Sai Sangeet, we present the song Shivashankari rendered by Sri Anantha Narayanan during the Aradhana Mahotsavam at Prasanthi Nilayam in 2017.
