*The developer has since updated his github code to remove the need to upgrade Volk to 1.4 and also changed the main branch to GNURadio 3.8. You can still follow the video if you would like to upgrade Volk, but you must do the following to make sure you get what is needed for GNURadio 3.7. It requires manually installing Volk from source which may cause some unforeseen negative side effect considering GNURadio was installed previously via apt and included Volk 1.3. However, for gr-tempest to work, it seems to need Volk 1.4 or higher. This was a work around to get things up and running. I'll continue to test, but so far it seems to be fine. Any feedback would be appreciated. There's several built in gr-tempest examples and more info is available on the gr-tempest GitHub page. TEMPEST refers to a technique that is used to eavesdrop on electronic equipment via their unintentional radio emissions (as well as via sounds and vibrations). All electronics emit some sort of unintentional RF signals, and by capturing and processing those signals some data can be recovered.
