Not only do they do pretty well during the day, they also do great at night, all while recording at 4K resolution! There's a built-in digital zoom as well, the screen is easy to see day or night. Colors are nice and vibrant during the day. A 32GB microSD card is included, the device will accept up to 128GB. Battery lasts 10 hours with infrared off, 5 hours with it on.
