From 110th Street to Brooklyn – Waacking by Nubian Nene

Waacking embodies the expression of sexuality, style, sass, charisma and knowledge of self. In this video, Nubian Nene dances to Bobby Womack’s classic, ‘Across 110th Street’ which was created for a blaxploitation film 'Across 110th Street'. It was only appropriate we start in Harlem and end with Nene’s house dance community at Soul Summit in Fort Greene Park which is a haven for many dancers in New York city in the summer time. Nubian Nene brings all her fierceness and intricate hand play and shows you many sides to her identity and a range of expression.
