Root touch-up at home step by step.Purple with Guy Tang. Quick and Easy! Coloring hair is one of my favorite things to do. I have been coloring hair for 24 years and licensed for 16 years. My clients always have more confidence once a fresh new color is applied. I like to do my roots no more than every 4 weeks. Others normally go 4 to 8 weeks. Just depends on the individual. You may use this technique for bleach or color root touch-up. For direct dyes I like to process for 20 min. For grey coverage process for 30 to 45 min. Color ratio is 1:1. Apply thick moisturizer around hair line to help not stain your skin. WARNING! If using bleach check every 15 min, for course/dark hair no more than 45 min and fine/light hair no more than 30min. Ratio is 2 parts developer 1 part bleach. Bleach is damaging so be careful not to over lap. Every product is different so is every hair of head so PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
