In this everything devops video I will show you the building blocks of DevOps. DevOps tools are almost impossible to count, but what makes Devops certification is that you become a full stack technologist. DevOps AWS gives you solid understanding of how things work in cloud. Scripting Language (Python or Shell) 2. Cloud (AWS or Google cloud platform) 3. Operating System (Linux or Windows) 4. Containerization (Docker) When we talk about scripting languages the first language that comes in my mind as devops engineer is Python. Python is light weight high level language which can also be used as scripting language. AWS and other cloud solutions also provide SDK for different languages to be able to problematically access their resource. Boto3 is Python's SDK for AWS. By learning Python you can't go wrong. DevOps AWS is one of the most searched term in devops community. AWS is the go to cloud solution and growing by many folds every year. Google cloud platform is also catching up, but if you are just starting out I would recommend you going with AWS path. For managing your applications on servers (Web, Application, Database) most likely then not people prefer Linux over Windows. There are a few use cases where Windows OS beats Linux OS but since Linux OS has a big market share in servers space, I would recommend you to learn at least the basics of Linux OS. Lastly, I would recommend you going for containerization technology. It is now an essential part of devops role. More than likely you will be required to know the difference between virtualization and containerization and may well be asked to deploy a solution in a containerized world. This demand in DevOps for containerization brings us to learn Docker. There are plenty of tutorials available on technologies like docker and kubernetes and orchestration tools like ECS, EKS but the demand for docker is essential for any devops role.
