LINCOLN MUSEUM HISTORY & STORIES FROM THE FOUNDERS!

We visited the Lincoln Museum, in Hodgenville, Kentucky, the birthplace of, President Abraham Lincoln. We joined them for their 33rd Anniversary, and produced this video to document the stories of so many that helped get the museum going back in 1988. In this video, 13 different people tell of their experiences and challenges, to get the exhibits constructed, often painstakingly to scale, and they also share what Lincoln, and the museum means to them personally. You will see a ton of shots of the inside of the museum that has been dubbed as, “Kentucky’s Tribute to Abraham Lincoln”, as well as some views from the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park, and the Lincoln Boyhood Home, at Knob Creek a few miles away. Many of the original group that got the museum going are elderly, and unfortunately, several have passed on. We are proud to have preserved these stories for the ages so many will know of the sacrifices and love it took to create this shrine to Lincoln’s memory. We were excited to interview children that are an active part in the museum and a few share their thoughts on this video as well. Lincoln was much more than the President of the United States during the Civil War. He was a man of humble beginnings, not much different than most of us Americans. This museum captures the spirit of the one of the most controversial figures in history. Perhaps you are part of a historical place, or group, and would like to document its history.
