If you have been infected with a virus or other malware and you notice many files with weird file type extensions, you may be able to recover these files by changing the weird extension back to the original extension type. Don't delete these files without trying this first as you may be deleting your own files and data. First try renaming them with the proper file type extension, It may take a few tries to get the right extension for each file but it may be worth the effort if you haven't backed up your data and your files are important.
