The Michigan State University Herbarium: A tour of research and people

Hello and welcome to the Michigan State University Herbarium! Herbaria are museums with libraries of preserved plants, fungi, and algae. Together, our specimens become a collection that tells a story of which plants were growing where, and at what times. But the Herbarium is more than a collection of plants–a network of people use and contribute to our collections and facilities.
